Mother of the Year
You've all heard my tales of woe about how Aubrey has trouble napping. I have to admit that ON OCCASION I've scooped up my bundle of joy at the first sign of a whimper. Well, after a rather rough evening of crying and hunger striking from being over-tired, I decided to get serious about this nap schedule. She had a nice little nap this morning and I was set for more of the same this afternoon. When I heard the whining begin after an hour, I knew I had to remain strong. Since she wasn't crying, I dealt with tossing and turning for another 45 minutes. After all, according to Baby Wise, "The parent decides when the nap should end!" Even though 5:00 sounded good to me, I still thought it was a good idea to peek my head in just to see what all the fuss was about. To keep her from flapping around anymore and hurting herself, I picked her up. She was suspiciously wet... and rather sticky.... This set of sheets will never be the same! Now I have to do a load of laundry while I deal with my guilt issues! Maybe I'll try for that award next year!
You do remember your brother, uncle, and 2 cousins (Lisa and Zac) sucking their thumbs don't you? I think Zac was maybe 7 before he quit for good.
